Blueprint OPS was established by former Australian Special Operations personnel and a leading software development company in Sydney, Australia. 

The planning and management software has been developed in close consultation with Australian police and military personnel. This has enabled the system to provide functionality that is closely aligned with best practice and the current method of operations for First Responder Agencies.

On the 9th November 2005 the following departments held a workshop on information management for Command and Control to support Police Operations.

• National Security Science and Technology Unit
  Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet
• Protective Security Coordination Centre
  Attorney Generals Department    and the
• Capability Advisors Coordination Group
  National Counter Terrorism Committee

During the workshop Command and Control systems and proposals from around Australia and the world were presented by a spectrum of national and international suppliers.

The Blueprint Operational Planning System was selected by Capability Advisers as it was the only system that addressed their operational requirements to support Police Specialist Groups in the conduct of their operations.

The Australian Government, Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet, Attorney General’s Department and the National Counter Terrorism Committee then sponsored Blueprint OPS to trial in May 2006.

Since the trial Blueprint OPS has been further enhanced and is now available to purchase.
